Internship and Scholarship Programs:
EC3 believes in educating and improving awareness in our communities about land resource issues and concerns. EC3 will be developing an internship program that will allow students to learn hands-on about environmental issues. As a part of the program, students will be required to work on a project in the community and then teach classes of elementary school students about what problems exist and how they can be fixed.
EC3 will also be starting a scholarship fund in the year 2010 to be awarded for the purpose of supporting students pursuing degrees in natural resources, horticulture or other related environmental sciences. The scholarship may be awarded to graduate, undergraduate students, or high school seniors. One stipend in the amount of approximately $2,500 will be awarded annually.
