Standard Prairie Seed Mixes: These mixes contain some of the most common grasses and wildflowers found throughout the prairie. These mixes are a great choice for planting on small plots for restoration or can be specified and implemented on medium to large scale engineered project sites. These mixes range from 60 seeds per sqft. to 250 seeds per sqft.
Diverse Prairie Seed Mixes: The following mixes were developed with an emphasis on diversity. We have taken our standard mixes and added some additional grass species, but our main focus was to add wildflower species to aid in promoting bloom time throughout the year and to ensure biodiversity for long term sustainability.
Enhanced Prairie Seed Mixes: Our enhanced mixes tend to be our most popular mixes for the nature enthusiasts looking to invite the wildlife into their prairie, or a conservation minded organization looking to add natural aesthetics to their corporate campus or landscape. We took our diverse mixes and infused them with double the amount of wildflowers by weight to ensure a colorful flora throughout the year. These mixes are ideal choices for landscaping applications or sites that will be highly visible.
Wildlife Native Seed Mixes: Most wildlife mixes you will find tend to be all clovers and forages. Although those mixes will make great food plots, we have taken a different approach. We have created mixes using all natives or developed mixes using a blend of natives in combination with clovers and forages. By taking this approach, we will increase biodiversity in the plantings, provide more than adequate food and shelter for wildlife, and create a sustainable sanctuary for wildlife to thrive in for years to come.
Specialized Native Seed Mixes: The following native seed mixes were designed for specific applications. These mixes tend to be very popular with landscape architects; engineers, and municipal planners when drafting specifications for a project site. Although these mixes are less common then our standard prairie mixes, they have been implemented often by various contractors and landowners to help rectify problem areas on project sites.
